Yesterday Pat Summitt released a video (above) letting the world know that she has been struggling with memory lose for sometime and has been diagnosed with dementia-the Alzheimer type. However, Coach Summitt does not plan to stop coaching and says she will return for next season. Originally thinking her memory lose was a side effect to the rheumatoid arthritis medicine she'd been prescribed, she later found it not to be so after doctors preformed a spinal tap with the aforementioned shocking results.
Our prayers go out to her, her family and team, may there be recovery in the midst and peace of mind for the legendary coach at all times.
